William Brandsness has practiced law in Klamath County, Oregon since 1962 and has extensive experience in all aspects of business, commercial and real estate law with focus on new and existing businesses facing strategic transitions. Historically, Bill has practiced in the areas of criminal law (including the defense of several capital murder cases), insurance defense, municipal law, domestic relations and trial practice.
Bill was born in Stanley, Wisconsin and moved as an infant to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1935. He attended public schools in Klamath Falls. Bill graduated from the University of Oregon in 1955 and was an officer in the USAF on flying status from 1956 to 1959. He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1962. Bill served as City Attorney for Klamath Falls from 1966 to 1974.
Bill has served or currently serves on the board of directors of more than 30 different corporations in the state of Oregon. He has help organize or restructure hundreds of business entities, including some that have gone public through NASDAQ. Bill, his wife and his children, are very active in the banking industry and in their real estate holdings. The Brandsness Foundation provides funds for various charitable activities and scholarships for deserving students.
Bill and his wife, Sharon, have three grown children and ten grandchildren, who all live in Klamath Falls. He has participated in handball, tennis, sailing, distance running, and weight training and currently participates in golf, all without distinction. His interests are his family, his church, sports and business.
